Steven Ullman is an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems and Cyber Security (ISCS) department at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Steven received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems (MIS) in 2024 from the University of Arizona under Dr. Hsinchun Chen. Prior to this, Steven earned an MS in MIS from UArizona (2018-2019) as well as a BS in Computer Information Systems (CIS) and an MBA from Colorado State University Pueblo (2013-2018).
Steven's research focuses on developing AI-enabled methods and data mining techniques for cybersecurity, particularly for open-source software and enterprise IT infrastructure security. He has published on these topics in journals including Journal of Mangement Information Systems (JMIS) and AIS Transactions on Replication Research (TRR), as well as conferences including IEEE ISI, ACM KDD, INFORMS Annual Meeting, HICSS, and Secure Kknowledge Management (SKM). He has contributed to multiple research projects funded by the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) cybersecurity programs, including the Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) and Cybersecurity Innovation for Cyberinfrastructure (CICI) programs. He is a member of INFORMS, AIS, IEEE, and ACM.
